Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey Diet for Weight Loss

With two thirds of Americans overweight or obese, it's no wonder one of our viewers wants to know, does a combination of apple cider vinegar, honey, and water promote fat burning and weight loss? Well, I'm sorry to say that there is no scientific evidence to support such a claim. The combination of apple cider vinegar, and honey, and water is an age-old elixir that's been touted as miraculous. That it can detoxify and help lose weight among other benefits.

But the evidence is not there. And your body doesn't need to be detoxed. We have organs that take care of that. So, don't worry about detoxing. When it comes to weight loss, the tried and true formula is reducing calories, increasing your exercise. That's what works. That's what gives lasting results. If you go on a diet that includes apple cider vinegar, honey, and water, chances are it's going to be a very low-calorie diet. And that's what causes the weight loss. But, very low calorie diets are hard to stick with.

Usually you come off of them and when you do, chances are that weight comes back. Sometimes comes back plus more weight. So, fad diets don't work. Stick with what you do know that works. And that's cutting calories. So, save your money. And if you wanna use apple cider vinegar, there's no harm in it unless you're taking large doses. It is an acid so it can burn your esophagus and your stomach, so be careful. It can also interact with medications. So, use it sparingly. Use it in cooking. And in cooking, use it to help you cut back on sodium, or sugar, or fats. Because it's got great flavor and it's wonderful in cooking. But, as a fad diet remedy, thumbs down.
